I received an email from the City of Saskatoon requesting me to forward some information to you.
I am the administrator for the Village of Muenster in Saskatchewan, Canada. We have a Taphorn Street in our village. I am assuming this street was named after Anton Taphorn Sr. who was Overseer (Mayor) in the village of Muenster in the 1920’s. In our local history book, it states that Anton Taphorn Sr. and his wife Ida (Menke) immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1906 and homesteaded in the Muenster area.
