Mijn moeder was erg creatief en van alle markten thuis, zei men toen. Het meest heeft ze genoten van haar tekenclub van Matty Christensen, elke vrijdag in het oude E.D.gebouw a\/d Kleine Berg. Vrouwen met diverse achtergronden troffen elkaar daar. Ook gingen de dames wel eens er op uit in Belgi\u00eb maar dan ging Arie, haar man, altijd mee. Jammer eigenlijk maar zo kon het gaan.
